Where Danny is From

I walk through the dirty streets.
My head tilts down as people
bump into me. I get into a corner.
Its dark but I get some peace and
quiet. As I look up I see the
sun shining down on the buildings.
I remember the snow globe on the
top of the shelf. I remember the trip
to the green lady. A sign of liberty.
I remember the stories of the crashing
buildings. Mom saying quotes like
"if you're bored you're boring."
I remember the days walking over
the dirty river. I remember the
NEW YORK CITY

WHERE I'M FROM
